Gain Knowledge in the Treatment of LRDs With ImmunoCAP Testing

ImmunoCAP specific IgE blood testing provides objective, quantifiable evidence of IgE-mediated allergen sensitivity to help the clinician diagnose and manage common lower respiratory illnesses. ImmunoCAP testing makes it relatively easy for primary care clinicians to perform an allergy evaluation.1

Utilizing pre-selected profiles of both seasonal and inhalant airborne allergens, ImmunoCAP test results provide the clinician with clear evidence to help rule in or out the presence of atopy, identify and quantify any specific allergic sensitivities, and guide effective management (including avoidance counseling, medication selection, immunotherapy, and timely referral). When the results are negative, the clinician can focus on other evaluations in order to probe for possible non-allergic triggers.

In patients with suspected asthma, allergy testing may be conducted along with pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic evaluations.2

ImmunoCAP testing can be conducted on patients of any age, as young as 3 months, regardless of the medications they are already taking, and only a single blood draw is required. Many laboratories offer ImmunoCAP testing.
